non-BIP39 seed phrase, no idea what wallet - advice needed(reddit.com)
Hi, after about 10 years I rediscovered a seed phrase I had written down, unfortunately without any hint to which currency or what kind of wallet. Metamask doesnt accept it, electrum doesnt accept it. After a bit of digging (and re-learning) I found out that it looks like it has some different words apart from the BIP39 words, "bagpipe" for example. Is there any way for me to find out to which kind of wallet the phrase belonged to? If not, oh well. It could not have hold much anyways. If yes, nice, very small bonus :D Thanks in advance to anyone who could help! submitted by /u/Blairsen [link] [Kommentare]
Alternative to Binance for receiving and converting crypto to fiat.(reddit.com)
Hi. I need a platform for receiving USDC/USDT from my trading broker, converting/selling it into my local currency, and withdrawing it to my bank account. Pretty much it. I've been using Binance since always, but it looks like I may need to find an alternative very soon... Based on my quick and uninformed research, I've been considering Kraken. Thoughts? Thanks. submitted by /u/_SmartCheetah_ [link] [Kommentare]
Please tell me if I have a gross misunderstanding of the financial system at large, but i think Tokenized stocks are more like another patchwork for the system(reddit.com)
I’m not necessarily looking to make a point, but hopefully to be proven wrong... Traditional stock markets already more of a kludge with exploitation of loopholes and fixation it worked more like a leaky tub where people made holes and the insititution tried to bandage which made a very messy system. I think tokenized stock is a bandage to the system as welll institutions just sugar-coated stocks with fractional ownership and dlt(distributed ledger technology) and marketed them as an on-chain initiative but in real it contradicts with the real idea of crypto itself its more like a bandage rather than a fix which was made to bring in more of the people who believe in blockchain and were against central authority I also think that institution like BlackRock think of decentralization as a threat. The solution should be redesigning the system from scratch not patching submitted by /u/Old-Director-6727 [link] [Kommentare]
Ethereum Users the Most Sticky, BNB Chain Leads in Absolute Numbers(reddit.com)
TL;DR for anyone who doesn’t click: CoinGecko looked at which chains kept users active from Q1 2025 to Q1 2026. Ethereum had the highest retention rate at 26.2%. BNB Chain came second at 20.5%. But by actual users retained, BNB Chain led the whole report with 1.49M users still active a year later. Main takeaway: Ethereum had the best percentage retention, but BNB Chain retained the most users overall. submitted by /u/FTXACCOUNTANT [link] [Kommentare]
Memecoins are dead. Any other proof you need to realize truth?(reddit.com)
Memecoin market cap I really hope people will realize memecoins were only a distraction and a way for pump & dump schemes. No real value, no transparency, no plans, just pure hype and rugpulls. Crypto space definitely needs purge, and it seems it is finally happening. Thank God for bear market. Next stop, ETH killers, L2s, DeFi/DEX coins. Whatever has no real use case, shouldn't attract capital! submitted by /u/Crnorukac [link] [Kommentare]
