Are we even aware that Congress is debating a Crypto Wash Sale bill RIGHT NOW? (H.R. 9172)(reddit.com)
I feel like almost nobody in the casual crypto space is talking about what just went down in Washington, and it is a massive red flag for anyone trading on-chain. On June 9, 2026, the House Ways and Means Committee held a full-committee hearing on a new package of crypto tax bills. One specific bill in that pile is an absolute trainwreck for retail traders. It’s called H.R. 9172: The Applying Existing Tax Anti-Abuse Rules to Digital Assets Act (introduced by Rep. Jodey Arrington). What does H.R. 9172 actually do? It officially forces traditional Wall Street Section 1091 Wash Sale Rules and Constructive Sale Rules straight onto crypto. If you sell a volatile token at a loss to manage your risk during a dip, you cannot buy that token (or a "substantially identical" wrapped/bridged variant) back within 30 days without forfeiting your tax deduction. submitted by /u/semaj_1028 [link] [Kommentare]
Do you actually automate your crypto workflows, or is it just me doing everything manually?(reddit.com)
Been spending a stupid amount of time on repetitive on-chain stuff lately like monitoring lending positions, chasing yields, revoking approvals, watching wallets, rebalancing across ETH/SOL/Polygon. None of it is hard. It's just tedious and time-consuming. There are point solutions for some of this but I haven't found anything that lets you just... wire things together yourself. Like: Wallet receives USDC -> Telegram ping Contract emits an event -> trigger a follow-up transaction APY on protocol A drops below B -> move funds Gas below X -> execute pending tx Curious if other people do this manually too or if I'm missing something obvious. What do you actually repeat the most? Is there a demand for such a platform? submitted by /u/c0m94d3 [link] [Kommentare]
Debt Algorand Standard Application takes second place at the ACTUS Use Case Competition(reddit.com)
The panel awarded the Debt Algorand Standard Application (D-ASA) project for doing something the tokenized debt space has largely only promised: end-to-end execution of ACTUS contract logic directly on the Algorand Virtual Machine. Issuance, lifecycle events, settlement, transfers, and cashflows, all handled as verifiable, on-chain operations. Running. Judges specifically called out the asynchronous settlement design, role-based institutional controls, and native atomic transactions. The open-source SDK/framework packaging was highlighted as something banks and issuers could actually build on. They’ll have a credible, standards-aligned foundation for debt tokenization, ready to deploy. submitted by /u/semanticweb [link] [Kommentare]
What actually drives XRP’s value if it can be reused every few seconds?(reddit.com)
I’ve been trying to understand the long term XRP bull case from a technical perspective. I often see people talking about $1,000+ XRP, but I’m struggling to understand how the numbers work. If XRP settles transactions in a matter of seconds, doesn’t that mean the same XRP can be reused many times throughout the day? If that’s the case, why would the price need to be extremely high to support large transaction volumes? For example, if banks, payment providers, tokenized asset platforms, and other institutions start using XRP for liquidity and settlement, what exactly creates the need for a much higher valuation? Is it the amount of liquidity sitting on the books? Institutional reserves? Market makers? Something else? I’m not arguing against XRP. I hold XRP myself. I’m just trying to understand the mechanics behind the high price predictions. What is the actual model that gets XRP into the hundreds or thousands of dollars per coin while accounting for transaction speed and liquidity reuse? Would appreciate explanations from people who have looked into the numbers in detail… submitted by /u/richlobstermeow [link] [Kommentare]

The case for BTC at $1000(reddit.com)
I know this is going to ruffle some feathers, but the more you look at the actual mechanics of crypto, the harder it is to deny. Stripped of all the blockchain jargon and laser-eyes hype, Bitcoin behaves exactly like a global, hyper-financialized meme token. The big difference between BTC and Doge or Pepe is that Bitcoin’s meme is wrapped in a fancy suit and called a "Store of Value." Think about it: A meme is just a shared cultural idea that gains power because a critical mass of people agree to repeat it. Bitcoin has no intrinsic value. It doesn't generate cash flows like a business, it doesn't pay dividends, and it has almost zero real world utility as an actual currency because of its volatility and transaction limits. Its entire valuation relies purely on the Greater Fool Theory. You buy a few satoshis today at a premium, not because you want to spend it, but solely because you are betting that a "greater fool" will come along tomorrow and pay you even more for it. Whenever you point this out, die hard fans immediately pivot to inflation. "But the dollar is losing purchasing power! Bitcoin goes up when inflation hits!" Sure, it does. But crypto bros act like Bitcoin is the only asset that reacts to inflation. Newsflash: Inflation lifts all asset markets. When money is devalued, the price of real estate, commodities, and corporate stocks go up too. Except there's a massive difference. When you buy into the stock market to hedge against inflation, you are buying a piece of a business that can raise its prices, grow its revenues, and produce profits. Profitable companies have a theoretical mathematical floor based on how well that business is doing. Bitcoin has no such floor. If inflation hits, it only goes up if enough people think it will, not because it’s suddenly producing more goods or services. If you're looking for a legitimate store of value to beat inflation, wouldn't you rather own a piece of a company that actually produces something, rather than a digital casino chip? What happens when the supply of greater fools runs out, and the "inflation hedge" meme loses its viral grip on the public consciousness? Because there are no corporate earnings or physical assets to anchor its price, the sentiment will flip completely. When everyone tries to exit the burning theater at once, realizing there's no one left to sell to, it’s not hard to see a world where BTC bleeds all the way back down to $1,000, returning to a niche asset valued only by cryptographic hobbyists. Change my mind. Or if you agree, where do you think the actual floor is when the hype finally dies? submitted by /u/Good-Book-6912 [link] [Kommentare]
This crash IS different. It may never recover.(reddit.com)
The magic ingredient that kept crypto alive, and powered each rebound, is hype. The 4 year cycles would not have happened without hype. And hype has been there for the past 10-15 years. Crypto has been the preeminent “disruptive technology“. There were challengers, but no successors. What has changed is - AI has obviously taken that crown. Crypto is now old news. It’s why crypto has finally decoupled from the markets. While AI is going parabolic and powering the markets of entire countries. That’s why this crash is different. The all important hype is going away… submitted by /u/interstellar_nips [link] [Kommentare]
anyone else completely given up on manual trading?(reddit.com)
i used to spend like 3-4 hours a day watching charts and i still kept making emotional decisions. missed entries, panic sold, the whole thing. at some point i just asked myself why i was doing this to myself when there are automated systems that literally don't sleep or panic. curious if others have made the switch and what pushed you to finally do it. submitted by /u/Separate-Okra-4611 [link] [Kommentare]
