Scam Sniffer traced a wallet this week that lost $999,999 in USDT to a single phishing token approval on Ethereum. The first sweep overshot the balance and failed, so the script corrected itself and took the rest 36 seconds later. No seed phrase was stolen. The victim approved a token permission that looked routine. The pattern keeps repeating because people approve signatures they cannot fully read. Two habits help on any hardware wallet. Keep keys generated and stored offline, and verify the exact permission and amount on the device's own screen before signing. Well guys it finally happened to me . After years of DCAing to 0.1 btc I woke up this morning to see the funds from my trust wallet are gone . I kept the money in binance till a few weeks ago when the whole EU Mica situation I decided I should move it to a wallet . Is there anything I can do? Why I’ll choose both, but only ONE has 5x at its current price levels…👌 Someone asked why I choose DOGE & even though people disagree you can’t argue with the current price of both BTC & DOGE and which has 5x at current price levels. I’ve watched markets for years & I’m averaging .073 on DOGE . If Bitcoin does get ATH or even bounces back over 100k you can expect 2x or 3x on these prices . A startup founded during the early days of DeFi is now backed by a financial giant. Gauntlet, which helps institutions and crypto firms allocate their digital assets, raised $125 million from the Japanese financial conglomerate SBI Holdings, the startup’s founder and CEO Tarun Chitra told Fortune. The round closed in June and had no other participants, he said, declining to specify at what valuation he raised the money. The fundraise is the biggest infusion of capital into Gauntlet since its founding in 2018 and dwarfs the startup’s Series B in 2022, when it raised almost $24 million at a $1 billion valuation in a round led by the marquee fintech investor Ribbit Capital. SBI, which was spun off from SoftBank in 1999 and is now fully independent, is one of the most active institutional investors in digital assets. Worth more than $10 billion on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the company has bought up stakes in the crypto lender Morpho, the blockchain company Ripple, and the stablecoin issuer Circle. “I really think this year SBI will increase our investment activities and even operational activities in the U.S., because of the clarity on regulation and pro-crypto, pro-innovation, pro-competition environment,” Kefei Lin, general manager at SBI, told Fortune.
