Bitcoins or Baseball Cards(reddit.com)
The value comes from the manufactured perception of scarcity. You could theoretically trade it directly for goods or services, but nobody ever does. It only ever gets traded for fiat currency. You can really only ever buy them with fiat currency and sell them for fiat currency. Most people don't buy them because they think it's actually useful for anything, they only buy because historically they go up in value and they're pretty sure that'll be true forever. People tell you to buy as much as you can, and never sell because the longer you sit on it, the more it'll be worth someday. The value doesn't come from actually being intrinsically useful or worth anything. They're worth far more than other products of equal or better quality, only because for unknown reasons people have decided that it is. You can make your own at home, but it's very unlikely they'll be worth more than you spent making them. Am I talking about bitcoins or baseball cards? submitted by /u/Asleep_Onion [link] [Kommentare]
The Clarity act gets voted on in July. They are trying to flush the market before it happens.(reddit.com)
The text of the bill comes out on July 4th. Look at today as an example. Right as the US market opens all crypto tanks at the same time. They are trying to scam you. They are trying to scare retail into selling. I think the Clarity act will pass the senate in early July and after that it is a done deal. If you are selling now you are being scammed! Here is Senator Lummis talking about the Clarity act. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnRuMRH60gE submitted by /u/divexpat [link] [Kommentare]
Why is it that only in our industry do we have to sacrifice the main character every year or so(reddit.com)
grifting in any other industry is all good, prices continue to climb regardless of what ponzi mechanism is introduced to sustain prices, only in crypto do we have to sacrifice people all the time while inflicting massive losses to ourselves at the process (bitconnect, luna, ftx, celsius, alon hiring a chief legal officer, etc and now saylor with mstr and strc. I'm missing a bunch but you get the idea) submitted by /u/Malwarebeasts [link] [Kommentare]
BullX NEO alternative?(reddit.com)
When I dipped my toes in crypto, I admittedly didn't know what I was doing. After getting burned in the altcoin space during the last bull run, I started using BullX specifically for markups and research. I've learned a lot over the years, but they recently suspended the platform. Anyone have any good alternatives? Not necessarily to trade with, but one that has good markups, editing, and access to indicators? Also, any good paper trading platforms out there? submitted by /u/NationalPea831 [link] [Kommentare]
BTC is not a store of value, it’s a Story of value which we create to sell to the next person at a higher price.(reddit.com)
It’s been 10+ years and crypto/ btc has not proven it self to be useful other than to buy low and sell it to the next person at a higher price hoping the narrative causes the price to rise. 99.99% of people that buy crypto only buy to ope to sell it to the next person at a higher price that’s all it has become . Stocks , realestate other assets classes actually produce some good or service but crypto does nothing …. Look at ADA and Charles lol , poly-GON 🤣🫵🤡. Hope to buy low sell high and bounce . submitted by /u/ozera202 [link] [Kommentare]
BNB Chain launches zkTLS verification layer for privacy-preserving data(reddit.com)
TL;DR for anyone who doesn’t click: BNB Chain has launched a zkTLS verification layer with Primus Labs, bringing privacy-preserving offchain data verification to the network. In normal terms: apps can now verify certain real-world or Web2 data, like identity credentials, account history, financial records, Proof of Reserves, or credit-related data, without putting the raw personal information onchain. That matters because a lot of useful blockchain use cases need private data, but public blockchains are not built for exposing sensitive user information. The article says Primus Labs’ zkTLS layer uses zero-knowledge proofs and TLS-secured web sessions to prove data is real without revealing the data itself. It also builds on Primus AlphaNet, a decentralized attestation network designed to avoid relying on one single notary. BNB Chain is adding infrastructure for privacy-preserving identity, DeFi lending, tokenization, Proof of Reserves, and real-world data verification. That could make BNB Chain more useful for apps that need trusted offchain data without forcing users to give up privacy. submitted by /u/FTXACCOUNTANT [link] [Kommentare]
Why would you buy crypto ?(reddit.com)
I mean wait this is a genuine DOUBT and I'm not predicting anything (because I don't have that much knowledge/experience). I'm actually thinking about what even makes crypto valuable ? It was supposed to be a currency and act like digital decentralized cash.. but most countries don't treat it as a currency but as an asset. Most people just buy crypto for investing(or gambling). While other asssets like stocks, commodities, bonds have some actual value in them that is visible clearly in real world... what does crypto have ? submitted by /u/-InvictusShadow [link] [Kommentare]
Theoretical BTC chart(reddit.com)
This monthly chart shows the 4 year cycle for btc and probably for most altcoins, resistance for top till now is a straight line, 2025 peak was perfect aligned with 2017/2021 peaks and surprisingly the support line is actually a curve going upward?, bottom points being 2018, 2022 and 2026 towards end of year. From chart a 30% drop may come with a solid floor of 40-45k$ (oct/nov). So a possible monthly bearflag may appear to mirror the bullflag. From resistance line the top for next cycle is 2029 with 180k$ and a possible drop to 70k$ in the upcoming year. Not sure how relevant this chart is but keep in mind this possible scenario:). Also dont know how AI bubble will affect the cycle. submitted by /u/JiZhangYue [link] [Kommentare]
