Towards a great ape dictionary: Inexperienced humans understand common nonhuman ape gestures
All nonhuman great apes share a large repertoire of gestures, but there are many challenges to observing these gestures in humans. This study, by showing people videos of ape gestures and testing their understanding, reveals that humans may share these gestures too. journals.plos.org · doi.org
Here, I work through an example of converting tabular data from a CSV file into a labelled multi-dimensional array data structure (using the xarray Python package).
