The magic ingredient that kept crypto alive, and powered each rebound, is hype. The 4 year cycles would not have happened without hype. And hype has been there for the past 10-15 years. Crypto has been the preeminent “disruptive technology“. There were challengers, but no successors. What has changed is - AI has obviously taken that crown. Crypto is now old news. It’s why crypto has finally decoupled from the markets. While AI is going parabolic and powering the markets of entire countries. That’s why this crash is different.
