I haven’t done any bridging since 2021, and back then it was really stressful and a total pain in the ass. I just want to know what you guys are using these days. I came across Jumper and Debridge, but to swap an altcoin 1 to 1 like Polygon from BNB chain to Polygon chain it always seems to cost 1 to 2%, which I’d rather avoid. Do you always need to swap to USDC first before bridging so it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? Is that just how it works? Also, I still use Metamask and I’m wondering if that’s outdated. I’m based in Germany and I’m looking for the lowest-cost way to convert USDC (or USDT) into EUR and withdraw it via SEPA. My priority is the lowest total effective cost (trading fees + spreads + withdrawal fees), not necessarily the simplest workflow. What setup do you currently use? Kraken Pro? Monerium? ARQ? Coinbase? Most BTCers claim to be concerned if they will be able to run full nodes if we let Bitcoin scale. I'll show how one can easily calculate these costs so get better information to make better decisions. First lets make some educated guesses: We want to look at node running at different adoption rates. We will look at: 1% (200 times the capability of BTC 25% (5000 times the capability of BTC) 80% (A mind blowing 16000 times the capability of BTC) We assume 1.3 transaction per person per day. With these we can now calculate the block sizes for each: 8billion * X% * 0.000250/24/6 1% 181 MB 25% 4.5 GB 80% 14 GB And the needed diskspace per year: 8billion * X% * 1.3 * 365 * 0.000000000250 1% 10 TB 25% 240 TB 80% 760 TB And lastly we can calculate our cost with todays Disk prices: 1% $190 per year 25% $4700 per year 80% $15200 per year As comparison a Netflix premiums account costs $324. So for the price of a Netflix account we could already serve 1% of the population with sound p2p money. Likely more, because this amount of transaction would actually enable people to use L2s self custodial and likely boost our numbers ~50 times. Even the 80% goal is not out of this world. Has anyone tried to cancel something from Microsoft. I have been trying for 2 months to cancel my Microsoft 365 subscription. They make this literally impossible. I can see it in my account click on it but not cancel. I have tried to call, there are no people. I have tried to chat, but it says log into my account even though I am already logged in the account when I open chat. When i try to log in from chat, then my account is unrecognized even though I logged in. When I try to call they say my account does not exist. I tried to remove my payment method and you can only do this if you replace it with a new card. I have called the credit card to have them blocked over a month ago. Yet they still charged me today. Won't this need to move your funds out of Binance lead to people being forced to sell their crypto (probably at a loss) or is there a way to just move th crypto balance to another exchange and even if thats possible won't a lot of people just exit crypto. Imagine Bitcoin’s price doesn’t move 1 cent up or down for the next few decades. As of now the have just over 28 years of coverage from their BTC pile. Lets take off 2 years assuming the 4 Bln of net debt has to be paid back, and another 2 for buying back stock trying to get the preferds back to par. That means in 24 years they are gone, and bitcoin carries on doing what it has been doing for nearly 2 decades. If the price rises they can keep the show on the road, and if it rises quickly enough they can do this indefinitely. If the price falls this all unravels more quickly. As long as there are users needing peer to peer money and miners willing to validate and broadcast transactions, Bitcoin goes on forever. submitted by /u/Leithm [link] [Kommentare]
I'm just making this post to see if anyone else using a Ledger hardware wallet is unable to connect and sign transactions on desktop with Rabby on Google Chrome. On the 18th, I contacted Rabby's support through their Discord/GitHub, but I haven't received any proper update other than, "Have you tried contacting Google Chrome support?", which I thought was a pointless question with no follow up questions and It still doesn't work, so I just wanted to see if I'm on my own with this issue. I like Rabby Wallet, but their support staff are completely useless at relaying serious issues to whoever can actually sort them out.
