They Called Amazon Dead Too.(reddit.com)
They Called Amazon Dead Too. A message to every ADA holder who’s tired of waiting. December 1999. Amazon was the most exciting company on the internet. Everyone knew the name. Everyone believed in the vision. Then the bubble burst. From its peak of $106 in December 1999, Amazon’s stock collapsed 92% to just $8.37 by April 2001. Two years of watching your investment disintegrate. Analysts declared it finished. The press wrote obituaries. Barron’s ran a story questioning whether Amazon had “only 10 months’ worth of cash left in the till.” The sentiment wasn’t skepticism — it was mockery. And the people who held? A $1,000 purchase of Amazon at the dot-com peak in December 1999 would eventually be worth $15,500. Sound familiar? Right now, ADA holders are living through the same emotional arc. The price is down. The macro is hostile. Global liquidity is being vacuum-sucked into U.S. equities. Crypto as a whole is being ignored. The community is tired. And somewhere out there, someone is writing the same obituary for Cardano that Barron’s wrote for Amazon in 2001. But here’s what they’re missing. Amazon survived because the technology was real, the team kept building, and the world eventually caught up to the vision. Cardano is still building. The UTXO architecture, the Bitcoin DeFi bridge, the decentralization credentials — none of that disappears because the price is down. The market’s job right now is to make you feel like you’re wrong. That’s not new. That’s the same pressure that shook out Amazon holders at $20, $15, $10. The ones who didn’t sell didn’t win because they were lucky — they won because they understood what they actually owned. You don’t get the 54,000% return without surviving the 92% drawdown first. Hold the line. Not financial advice. Do your own research. submitted by /u/MarkLi1111 [link] [Kommentare]
Crypto Winter or Done(reddit.com)
I’m reading all of the FUD. EVERYWHERE. And I want to start this rant off with, THATS WHY YOU INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. I am a BTC holder and ETF holder. If this drops more I’ll eventually be a MSTR holder. My question is are we in a crypto winter or is this the grand finale? I thought it was understood that BTC operates in a 4yr cycle? Well, technically, isn’t that where we are now? However, there’s a lot of people talking about how crypto is done. I’m hearing Institutions are involved so it’s manipulated. Or the US government has gone after all of the people who used crypto for bad so now all of those corrupt contributors are scared. What ever the case is. A decision has to be made. If you are anything like me, you are probably down in your position. If your anything like me you got into BTC because of the foundation of sovereign money, giving the power back to the people, my keys my bitcoin. And if that’s you, then hold on. This is no different from the previous 4 yr cycles. Why sell now? I’m down 40%. I thought 60k was support so I DCA’d. Oh well broke support? Ok once we get to the next level of support DCA some more. Rant Done. Invest what you can afford to lose. Sorry for any grammatical errors. submitted by /u/General-Ring2780 [link] [Kommentare]
Not your keys not your funds but now what? Coinbase update.(reddit.com)
A few weeks ago I made a post about how coinbase froze my account after a $100K deposit. They finally unfroze my account claiming "There were a lot of transactions that day and it was automatically triggered " Some BS if you ask me. Because you are literally an exchange meant to handle that much transactions freeze my account for no reason. I finally send all to my bank and ledger ASAP but my question is...if exchanges do that how can I send my money to fiat and spend it? How can I spend my money if they can freeze it as soon as I try to send it to my bank? For clowns saying I should wait for FBI knocking on my door. Do you think I can be smart to make almost a million and fuck it all by spilling all I have to the cops? Some people are smarter than your reach and that is why we use crypto. Mixing that shit af. submitted by /u/klandreneau [link] [Kommentare]
everyone says the 1099-DA thing is going to be a disaster but i can't tell if it's overblown(reddit.com)
Keep seeing two completely different takes on the 0 cost basis 1099-DA thing and honestly can't tell which is right. Some people treat it like a non-event, you just attach your real basis and move on. Then there's a steady stream of posts with CP2000 notices for gains they never made, saying it wrecked their spring. Not in the US myself so I'm just trying to get the actual shape of it before I assume it's as bad as it looks. For anyone who's already had a notice or a 1099-DA that was obviously wrong, which was it for you, annoying but fixable or an actual nightmare to unwind. submitted by /u/Educational_Cable405 [link] [Kommentare]
Did I just got scammed by polymarket?(reddit.com)
Sent SOL directly from an exchange to my Polymarket Solana deposit address. Transaction confirmed on-chain, but Polymarket showed "Deposit failed, please try again later" and my balance stayed at $0. Contacted support and got directed to their recovery portal at recovery.poly.market — but the tool only covers EVM chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, etc.). It shows zero balance because my funds are on Solana, which the tool can't reach. The SOL is sitting at their address. They have custody of it. Support keeps deflecting. Has anyone successfully recovered funds from a failed Solana deposit on Polymarket? Any escalation paths beyond the standard chat widget? submitted by /u/Independent_Hold3754 [link] [Kommentare]
My crypto wallets on AWS got hacked/stolen(reddit.com)
I just found two of my MetaMask wallets got hacked and most of cryptos inside were transferred out of those wallets last month. I lost about 6 ETH and some other alter coins. I was running a NFT trading program on AWS so I had to put the private key of my wallets in the code file of the program. I stopped running it by the end of 2025 since the NFT market was almost dead. After that, I shut down the AWS instance and deleted it. I didn’t touch the image and snapshot until last month. I noticed it still incurred a monthly bill so I deleted the image and snapshot last month. My wallets got hacked right after that. I suspect an AWS backend employee scanned my image files and then got my private keys. I have no evidence but it should be it. I have 4 private keys on my local computer. If my computer were hacked, all 4 wallets would have been stolen. The 2 wallets got stolen were exactly the ones I put on AWS. I am not trying to get my money back, which I know is impossible. I just want to warn people who are doing similar things on AWS or other cloud services. Keep it in mind when using them. submitted by /u/hamson2024 [link] [Kommentare]
