Binance ended my licensed P2P business over "account sharing" with my husband. Now the EU has ended Binance.(reddit.com)
I was a P2P Pro Merchant in Poland. Registered VASP, fully tax compliant, 4+ years on Binance, 48,000+ completed trades, 98%+ positive feedback, monthly volume up to 7 figures in PLN. On April 13 Binance terminated my account. The only reason given: "violation of Terms of Use." No clause. No explanation. Over the next 32 days I asked more than 15 different support agents to just tell me which term I violated. Every single one refused. My husband's personal account got terminated as well, and his at least came with a reason: Account Sharing. So here's our "crime." We're married. His fingerprint is on my phone and mine is on his. When his battery died he'd log in on my phone, when mine died I used his. We know each other's passwords, our money is together, we don't hide anything from each other except maybe birthday presents. That's not fraud. That's a normal marriage. Binance's risk system apparently can't tell the difference between criminals sharing accounts and a wife and husband sharing a phone. And how carefully was my case reviewed? At 11:31 UTC an escalations agent wrote to me, word for word: "we apply a diligent and careful approach, thoroughly examining each case." My account was terminated the same day at 13:58 UTC. Two and a half hours of "thorough examination" to erase a 4-year business. Nobody asked me for a single document. Same day, one agent asked me if I wanted to appeal while another told me no appeal channel exists. They couldn't even agree on that. Funny thing: once before, the same local team restricted my account "until 2030" by mistake, and Binance Global overturned it within 24 hours. So I know exactly what their local team's accuracy looks like. What did they actually lose? Not just volume. In four years as a merchant I stopped hundreds of scam attempts on my own orders. Elderly people, people who clearly had a scammer on the phone with them coaching them through the payment, I cancelled those orders and told them what was happening instead of taking their money. When someone paid after an order was already cancelled, I sent the money back, every time, even when nobody would have ever known. I was exactly the kind of merchant a P2P platform is supposed to want. Terminated over a shared phone, with no appeal. Now the karma part. Three months after they threw me out for "compliance" reasons they refused to name, Binance is gone from the Play Store across the EU and its services are shutting down for European users, because they never managed to get a MiCA license. They demanded perfect, unexplained compliance from a small licensed merchant in Poland while failing to stay compliant on an entire continent. I don't expect Binance to care. I just want this on the record. If you're a merchant reading this: your stats will not protect you, your feedback will not protect you, your license will not protect you. You're one algorithm flag away from being nothing to them, and there is nobody to talk to when it happens. And this wasn't just me. Whoever runs compliance for Binance Poland: I watched what your decisions did to the PLN market. Before July 1 there were moments when only 2 merchants were online on the entire PLN P2P market. On Bybit and Bitget, over 100. That wasn't regulation doing that, MiCA hit every exchange the same. That was you, clearing out your own verified, licensed, tax-paying merchants one by one until the order book was a ghost town, while your competitors kept theirs. A compliance department exists to keep the business safe AND alive. You were getting paid to make it better, not to make it worse. You didn't protect the PLN market from risk. You protected it from existing. submitted by /u/Sunflower5115 [link] [Kommentare]
compiled every crypto trading stat from 2025-2026 I could verify against a named source, some surprised me(reddit.com)
almost every "crypto stats" post floating around still cites 2022-2023 numbers. pulled together what I could actually verify against a named source, all from 2025 or 2026 $19B liquidated in 24 hours on Oct 10 2025. largest single-day liquidation in crypto history, roughly 9x any previous day. 1.62 million accounts wiped (CoinDesk Research) derivatives are 82% of all crypto volume now. ~$209B derivatives vs ~$22B spot daily average. most people think they're trading spot, they're actually in a leverage market (TokenInsight Q1 2026) ~65% of crypto volume is automated, estimates reach 86% counting all algo execution. traditional markets run 60-75%, so crypto's now more machine-driven than TradFi (MEXC Research 2026) 97% of persistent day traders lose money, this is the Brazilian CVM study that followed traders past 300 sessions, not just people who quit early. Taiwan data puts consistently profitable traders under 1% net of fees (Chague, De-Losso & Giovannetti) stablecoins settled $7.2T in Feb 2026, surpassed the US ACH network in a single month for the first time (Artemis/Reap) only 7% of prop firm challenge traders ever reach a payout. pass rates run 5-14% depending on the firm, but passing and getting paid are very different numbers (FPFX Tech, 300k+ accounts) $11.4B lost to crypto scams in 2025, up 22% YoY. traders 60+ accounted for $4.4B of that (FBI IC3) happy to pull the specific citation for any of these if anyone wants to verify submitted by /u/Suitable_Acadia_190 [link] [Kommentare]
What are your favourite crypto exchanges?(reddit.com)
My current favourite is Kraken because of its similarity to Binance. I used Binance a lot in the past because of very low fees for trading, but they failed to secure the MiCA regulation authorization in my country. Coinbase has higher fees, but sometimes I use Coinbase as a second option just to move crypto around. I've tried Bybit, but there is too much KYC; it's like they wanna know what's inside your asshole. Also, the fees are high. submitted by /u/RevolutionaryCost59 [link] [Kommentare]
Zero trading fees on Bitfinex exchange(reddit.com)
Recently Bitfinex exchange has made all trading fees equal to zero and majority of withdrawal fees are zero too including USDt. This is quite big exchange and I am using it since 2018 without any problems, but their new business model is puzzling me. How they are going to make any profits? AI tells me that they may make profit on a bigger spread, but this would be an arbitrage opportunity and anyone could make profit by undercutting them. So I am really puzzled. submitted by /u/perelmanych [link] [Kommentare]
I got tired of the headache and high fees of cashing out crypto, so I built a solution. Meet XRPay.(reddit.com)
Hey everyone, Like a lot of you, I've been in the crypto space for a while. And like a lot of you, I've experienced the sheer anxiety of trying to cash out profits. Between jumping through hoops on multiple exchanges, waiting days for ACH transfers to clear, and paying ridiculous withdrawal fees, the off-ramp process is still way harder than it needs to be. I realized there had to be a more seamless way to go from crypto to fiat without the traditional exchange bottlenecks. So, for the past few months, I’ve been building XRPay. What is XRPay? It’s a streamlined crypto cashout app designed to make off-ramping as easy as buying a cup of coffee. Here is what I’ve focused on: Speed: Getting your funds to your bank account fast, without the typical multi-day waiting periods. Low Fees: Skipping the heavy exchange withdrawal fees so you keep more of your gains. Simplicity: No need to swap to a stablecoin, send to a secondary exchange, and then wait. Just a straight path from crypto to cash. It’s currently in early release/beta, and I would genuinely love to get feedback from this community. What are your biggest pain points when cashing out? What features would make an off-ramp app a "must-use" for you? You can check it out here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/xrpay-crypto-cash-out/id6777407162 Thanks for reading, and I'll be hanging around the comments to answer any questions! submitted by /u/Nearby_Tea_228 [link] [Kommentare]
Exclusive: Payments startup Velocity raises $38 million to help businesses tap stablecoin growth(reddit.com)
As stablecoin use surges globally, traditional finance is rushing to keep pace. Many businesses, though, are still getting up to speed on how to integrate dollar-pegged tokens into customer payments, and London-based startup Velocity—which on Tuesday announced a $38 million Series A funding round—is one of the firms helping them to do so. “These are companies that do not understand that they can be using stablecoins to solve their problems. Those are the people we are going for,” said Rob Hadick, a general partner at the venture capital firm Dragonfly, which has carved out a niche in backing firms that facilitate fiat-to-bridge transactions. Dragonfly and Firstmark led Velocity’s Series A round, which also included investments from Coinbase, Capital One Ventures, QED Investors, Activant Capital, Ripple, and Wintermute. Eric Queathem, founder and CEO of Velocity, declined to specify at what valuation his startup raised its most recent stash of capital. Founded in 2025, Velocity aims to tap into the industry’s rapid expansion, with its name pointing to its goal of making payments faster through stablecoins. The company declined to name specific clients but said its customers include a mix of global merchants, payment providers, fintechs, and financial institutions. Will people even know they're using stablecoins 5 years from now?(reddit.com)
Most users don't think about payment rails today. If stablecoins become mainstream, do you think people will even realize they're using them, or will they just become part of the background? Is the recent attention around OpenUSD a sign of where the industry is heading, or is the hype getting ahead of reality? submitted by /u/KitchenPreference287 [link] [Kommentare]
